The ethical labour providers and skills consortium founded by ethero ltd, option A and G Solutions, is a new UK government backed operator for Seasonal Worker Scheme. In partnership with Regency Recruit and Van Stomp, it is now dedicated to providing labour and opportunities to those seeking work in the UK, under the sponsorship of TELPASC.

If you are a worker who would like to take part in the scheme, please contact G Solutions Group in your country directly. If successfully selected for a placement, you will receive your Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) number from TELPASC, then need to obtain a visa via your local visa centre. Your agent will support you with this process.

Key steps for participating in the TELPASC Seasonal Workers Programme

Applying

Apply by filling a questionnaire to assess the experience, motivation and skills of the English language on the site. The application is free.

If your candidacy is selected, an interview will be scheduled. The final selection of participants is entirely the decision of Concordia. The interview is free.

Paperwork

In the case that you are selected, you will be asked to issue a set of necessary documents. To do this, you must prepare:

    • A colour photo of passport size;
    • Passport;
    • Certificate from the school (for students);
    • International driver’s license (if available);
    • Tractor driver’s license (if available).

The paperwork is free.

Allocation to the agricultural farm

On the basis of the set of documents, candidates will be allocated to the existing vacancies on the agricultural farm in great Britain. The final selection of placement at any Farm is the decision of Concordia. Allocation is free.

Contract of seasonal agricultural worker

If you are allocated to an agricultural farm and receive a job offer containing information on the type and period of work, payment and living conditions, you will be asked to sign a contract agreement for a seasonal agricultural worker. The contract is free.

Preparing for the trip

Before you go to the UK, you need to buy a ticket (from Belgrade to London and back about 250£), get a working visa (the cost of a visa is about 244£). Visa information support and the certificate of sponsorship required for a visa(Certificate of Sponsorship) from Concordia UK Ltd (A-rated sponsor organization) that entitles you to obtain a work visa without income and bank savings certificates will be provided to you free of charge.

Work in an agricultural farm

On the appointed date you must arrive at the UK company, according to your allocation and contract of seasonal agricultural worker, and start work. On the way to the agricultural farm and for the first time, you need to take with you at least 200£

Work description

    • Minimum of 39 hours per week, additional hours will be available but not guaranteed and no more than 60 hours per week.
    • The work is carried out both in enclosed areas, greenhouses and in open fields.
    • The number of working hours depends on the weather conditions.
    • Most of the work is paid on the basis of piece pay.
    • Minimum 11 hours of rest between working days and 1 day off per week, paid leave

Wage

  • Paid weekly.
  • The minimum wage, per hour:
    England, Wales and Northern Ireland (depending on age):
    – £9.50 p/h for over 23s,
    – £9.18 p/h for 21-22 years old
    – £6.83 p/h for 18-20 years old
    Scotland: £ 9.50.
  • Bear in mind that all agricultural works are paid at £10.10 p/h.
  • Overtime hours may be available but not guaranteed.
  • Piecework wages cannot be lower than the minimum wage.

Acomodation:

  • Accommodation in well-maintained cottages or caravans.
  • Television, kitchen, shower and toilet – in a caravan or in the territory.
  • It is possible to share with friends.
  • The number of participants on one farm – from several people to several hundred.
  • The maximum rent is £60.90 per week/ £8.70 per day.
  • The food at your own expense.
